Celina Jaitley - Born 9 June 1981 is an Indian actress. She was crowned Miss India in 2001. She has appeared in several movies and music videos (including the Bombay Vikings' Zara Nazron Se Kehdo video). She was born to an @fghan mother and a Kashmiri father in K@bul, @fgh@nistan. However she grew up in different cities and mostly spent her time in Kolkata, India. Her father is an army officer and her mother, Meeta Jaitley, is a former beauty queen. She has one brother, who is serving in the Indian army. She has said that when she was young, she wanted to join the army herself, either as a doctor or a pilot.

She is daughter of a Punjabi father who was an Indian Army officer. Her mother is an Afghan and is a child psychologist by profession. She was born in 1981, and stands 5"6' in socks. Her nickname is Chinky. Her schooling was done all over the country due to the frequent transfers of her father. She had to change thirteen schools till her Board exams. Presently her family stays in Bangalore. Celina's past five generations have served the army and there was a point of time in her life, when she was also tinkering with the idea of taking the Combined Defence Services exam.
